Riverwalk Records is located in beautiful downtown Montpelier, Vermont....the only state capitol without a McDonalds. We are 3 1/2 hours from Boston, 2 hours from Montreal, 5 1/2 hours from New York City.

Vinyl 33rpm LP's and 45's. We buy all genres of music including Rock, Blues, Jazz, Country, Bluegrass, Folk, Punk, Reggae, Spoken Word, Hip-Hop and odditities. We Do Not Buy christmas, polkas, classical or 78rpm records(there are always exceptions, feel free to call).
Used CD's. Disc condition must be perfect. All liner notes and jewel cases must be present.

The Record Collection.
Riverwalk Records does not specialize in any one genre. Sections include Jazz, Rock, Folk, Celtic, Punk, Reggae, Hip-Hop, Heavy Metal, Soul, Spoken Word, Local Interest, Various International, New Age. We don't break it down in sub-genres like Psych, Garage, Girl Groups etc, but the material is there. Condition is a key factor, we often hear comments such as "these records are like new". For those less picky about condition there is a constantly rotating selection of good playable one dollar records in a separate section. As with all shops we are somewhat regionally oriented with some of the best and Country Folk and Bluegrass sections around simply because of supply and demand...there's a lot of pickers and grinners around. We tend to be less picked over than your typical Big City shops and don't feature Big City pricing or attitude. If you are buying multiple records, always ask for a deal...you'll get one. Although we wouldn't brag about it, we also carry a fine selection of used CD's.
The Poster and Memorabilia Collection.
Alot of folks coming into the shop coming into the shop for the first time go into flashback mode. Whether your youth was in the 50's, 60's,70's 80's or 90's you'll find all kinds of interesting period items to take you back. From vintage Rolling Stone magazines and stereo equipment to original concert tickets, handbills and posters. Riverwalk features one of the largest collection of concert advertisement posters in the country, from original fillmore posters to telephone pole posters represent all genres of music history last 30 years of music history. Musical Instruments.
Riverwalk features quality used instruments consigned from local musicians and collectors focusing on higher end moderately priced instruments.We currently have an amazing collection of newer and vintage banjos, some nice guitars, mandolins...always changing. Got something interesting? We have very reasonable consignment rates: 15% on items $1000 or up, 20% below $1000. We generally do not consign instruments that sell for less than $500, though we may be interested in buying such instruments outright.
Counterculture Goods.
Riverwalk Records also carries a selection of interesting goods most of which are either produced or designed in Vermont. Tie-dyes by Grateful Dead supplier Gary McMillian of Cosmic Cotton, Handprinted T-shirts by Bo the "Eat More Kale" guy, Jewelry By Joanne Tracy Designs, Deorsha and Dryad Designs. The Dryad line also includes pagan and norse influenced statuary designed by world renowned local woodcarver, Paul Borda.
The Skateboard Counter.
Riverwalk owner Jacob Grossi has been skateboarding since he was 10 years old and can still tear up the vert. So the skateboard counter in the back fullfills his personal childhood fantasy as well as filling a void in the community with the Montpelier area's only Skater Owned Skateboard Shop featuring a full selection of professional skateboard decks, wheels, trucks and more.
